The founding of the Liechtensteiner Philately organisation took place in 1934. The initiative for it was given by the second Liechtenstein country exhibition in 1934 and the second Liechtenstein stamp exhibition. At present there are around 200 combined members in the LPhV. Since 1970 the LPhV has been a member of the “Féderation Internationale de la Philatélie” (FIP) and since 1993 a member of the “Federation of European Philatelic Associations” (FEPA) as well as since 1994 a member of the “Multilateralen” along with Switzerland, Germany Austria and the Netherlands. 

Monthly meetings – generally on the 18th of every month, to swap and buy stamps as well as sharing experience. Help with activities such as the Liechtenstein Stamp Exhibition (LIBA) which takes place every 10 years as well as other smaller exhibitions.

• Stamp courses and lectures are organised for further education in philatelic interests.
• The publication of the popular LBK stamp catalogue is of special concern.
