Effective from July 1, 2026, the European Union (EU) will introduce new customs regulations for goods shipped into the EU from countries outside the EU. This also affects shipments from Philately Liechtenstein.
What’s changing?
For shipments with a value of less than 150 euros, the EU will now charge a flat fee of 3 euros per customs tariff number (HS code) *.
This fee applies to orders shipped from Liechtenstein to an EU country.
What does this mean for you?
If you place an order with Philately Liechtenstein and your shipment is sent to an EU country, an additional EU fee of 3 euros per customs tariff number may apply starting July 1, 2026.
Stamps, first-day covers, special covers, and maximum cards all fall under the same customs tariff number.
Important to know
This fee was established by the EU and is mandatory for all affected shippers. Philately Liechtenstein has no influence over this regulation and must pay the fee in accordance with EU require-ments.
We will inform you as soon as further information regarding its implementation becomes availa-ble.

* A customs tariff number (HS code) is an international commodity code that uniquely classifies products for customs clearance.
We will post any updates on this page.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
